In this episode of Wishing You Well, we explore the idea of the brand new food pyramid recently released by the Health and Human Services Department.
The Department of Health and Human Services has recently released a new Food Pyramid. Many are calling it "the upside-down" food pyramid because several significant changes have been made. I am here to offer you some guidance to help us make sense of, and easily implement the changes. Here's a SPOILER ALERT...I will NOT be recommending that we all start eating more red meat and drinking more alcohol and full-fat dairy. The big take-away from the new recommendations is this: "eat real food" which simply means consume less ultra-processed foods, reduce your sugar intake, and eat more whole foods.
